Youmian Yuyu
Bilingual food promotion for Dao Noodle
One dish, two audiences
A bilingual promotion for Youmian Yuyu, a traditional Shanxi oat-noodle dish, created for Dao Noodle’s Broadsheet’s Dine Out offering in July 2026. The project brings together promotional posters, Chinese social media artwork and an English dish-information sheet.
An orange background, expressive brush lettering and a large food image connect the two language versions. The English edition introduces the dish as hand-rolled oat noodles, while the Chinese edition leads with its familiar dish name. A short list of product qualities and a separate event panel organise the supporting information.

01 / Information hierarchy
From first impression to a closer read
The posters lead with expressive lettering and a large food image. A separate English information sheet gives readers more context about the dish, its name and how it is made. Orange and black brush marks connect the pieces, while the smaller sheet allows for a slower, closer read.
02 / In context
From artwork to restaurant
The Chinese and English posters sit alongside the information sheet inside Dao Noodle. The wall photographs show their printed scale and relationship; the service-window display brings the English poster and supporting information into another part of the restaurant.
Client: Dao Noodle, Melbourne. Promotion: Broadsheet’s Dine Out, 20–26 July 2026.
