Overview

A client project for Dao Noodle, a Melbourne restaurant. I adapted the restaurant’s existing logo and character graphics into a tote bag composition, balancing a bold yellow focal point, detailed black figures and open space.

Role
Tote bag graphic composition and brand application.

From restaurant to everyday carry

The yellow sign and expressive character graphics are already part of Dao Noodle’s restaurant environment. The tote brings these recognisable elements into a smaller, portable format while keeping a clear connection to the restaurant.

Graphic composition

A simple hierarchy

An offset yellow circle creates the focal point, with figures entering from the lower-left and right edges. Open areas balance the detailed linework, keeping the mark distinct within the overall composition.

Scale and detail

A close view and a standing presentation show the relationship between the mark, figures and the bag’s shape. These mockups bring together the graphic detail and the overall application.
